How to use this directory

Clear coverage, current information and practical limitations

01

Dataset representation

A lender appears when one or more current home-loan records for that lender are present in the public Rate Challenge rates feed.

02

Scenario-dependent pricing

Products and rates can change when you alter occupancy, purpose, repayment type, fixed term, loan amount or LVR.

03

Policy still requires confirmation

Income, employment, liabilities, property type and other lender rules can affect whether a lender or product is suitable.

04

Not a lender recommendation

The directory is general information. It does not rank lenders, confirm eligibility or replace personal lending advice.

Lender directory FAQs

Using the lender list responsibly

Does Rate Challenge compare every home-loan lender in Australia?

No. The directory shows lenders represented in the current Rate Challenge rates dataset. It should not be read as a complete list of every lender, product or loan available in Australia.

Does appearing in the directory mean a lender is on your broker panel?

No. The public rates dataset and the lenders available through a particular broker panel are different things. A lender can appear in the data without being available through the broker assisting you.

Can I see every rate from one lender?

The live comparison page displays products that match the selected filters and the data currently available. Change the filters to explore different loan purposes, repayment types, LVR bands and rate types.

Does the lowest rate mean the product is best for me?

No. Fees, features, eligibility, serviceability, loan structure and future plans can all affect whether a product is appropriate.

How often is the lender list updated?

The directory is generated from the current public rates feed. When lender coverage changes in that feed, the directory updates the next time the page loads.

Lender comparison enquiry

Discuss which lender pathways may be worth investigating

Tell Rate Challenge what you are looking to do. A mortgage and finance broker can help you understand which lender types, products and policy areas may be relevant to your circumstances.

No obligation. Do not send passwords, bank statements or identity documents through this initial enquiry form.

Need a practical answer?

Use the lender data to ask better questions before you apply.

The directory can show market breadth, but the final lender choice still depends on current pricing, policy, borrowing structure and your individual circumstances.
